“Cook healthy, live better”: An innovative Cooking Contest by PASYKAF and Universal Life. With the support of Intercollege

At a press conference held on Wednesday, February 20, at the ALFAMEGA supermarket in the Acropolis, Universal Life and the Pancyprian Association of Cancer Patients and Friends (PASYKAF) announced together the launch of the online cooking competition “Cook healthy, live better” aiming to raise awareness and inform the public about gastrointestinal cancer.

Participation in this innovative and at the same time informative “cooking journey” is very simple. All you have to do is go to www.cookyourhealth.com.cy to follow the instructions given to take part in the competition and have the opportunity to win several prizes. All the recipes that will be submitted will be evaluated by a jury consisting of selected cooks and nutritionists. The 8 finalists will be invited to cook their dishes in the next phase of the competition, in which the public will be able to vote, choosing together with the jury the 3 best healthy recipes.

The president of PASYKAF Dr. Anna Achilleoudi thanked Universal Life for its unwavering support in organizing such a pioneering competition. He made special reference to the “Althea” Gastrointestinal Cancer Treatment Team, whose mission is to reduce the number of new cases of these cancers in Cyprus, while emphasizing that a healthy diet is one of the most important factors in preventing gastrointestinal cancers. He thanked all those who worked hard to create the campaign, invited everyone to participate in “cook your health” and wished as we see as many unique healthy recipes as possible through the competition.

On behalf of Universal Life, Ms. Emilia Orfanidou expressed the joy and pride of the Company that had the opportunity to contribute to the organization of this original competition for healthy cooking.
