PASYKAF, Universal Life and Intercollege Contest Award Ceremony ‘Eat Healthy, Live Better’

Held in a festive atmosphere on Wednesday, June 12, at the Plato Amphitheater of Intercollege in Nicosia, the winners of the “Eat Healthy, Live Better” cooking contest, co-organized by Universal Life and the team “Althea” By PASYKAF. This is the first online cooking competition in Cyprus that is part of Universal Life’s corporate social responsibility activities, with the ultimate goal of raising public awareness and awareness of PASYKAF’s work on gastrointestinal cancers.

The competition “Eat Healthy, Live Better” was announced last February, with great success after hundreds of people applied. The recipes submitted were evaluated by a select panel of cooks and nutritionists, selecting the top 8 contenders to cook their recipes live. Through the committee’s evaluations and after an online vote open to the public, the first three recipes that were awarded at the event were selected.

The collector’s edition of the cookbook “Eat Healthy, Live Better” was also announced at the awards ceremony. The book, which is still a generous offering from Universal Life to PASYKAF, includes all the recipes that were featured in the contest as well as tips from nutritionists on a healthy diet. The book will be available for € 3 and proceeds will go towards enhancing PASYKAF’s work.

In her address, PASYKAF President Dr. Anna Achilleoudi warmly thanked Universal Life for its full support in organizing such an innovative competition. He made a special reference to the Gastrointestinal Cancer Response Team “Althea”, whose mission is to reduce new incidents of specific cancers in Cyprus, while stressing that healthy eating is one of the important gastrointestinal cancer prevention factors. She thanked all those who worked hard for the success of the competition and expressed her pride and enthusiasm for the great response of the people who embraced the competition and participated in delicious and healthy recipes.

The big winner of the competition was Christina Christoforou, who won a two-person trip to the fairytale Prague TOP KINISSIS offering. The second winner, Lenia Loizides, was awarded a € 500 gift voucher by Alfamega Supermarkets, while the third prize for a two-person stay at the Aphrodite Hills Atlantica hotel was won by Andreas Panagiotou.
