The event “Become a Chef & Pastry Chef for a Day” was held at Intercollege

As part of Intercollege’s ongoing efforts to further educate and train students, the event “Become a Chef & Pastry Chef for a Day” was organized at the Discovery Hall Amphitheatre in the main building of the University of Nicosia.

The event was addressed to students of A’, B’, and C’ classes of Lyceums, Technical and Vocational Schools of Education and Training (TESEK), as well as private schools recognized by the Ministry of Education. Dozens of interested students and their parents attended.

Participants had the opportunity to learn about Culinary Arts – Cooking – Pastry Making, Bakery, and Food & Beverage Service, as well as study options at the level of a Bachelor’s Degree (4 years, in Greek) or a Diploma (2 years, in Greek or English).

The aim of the event was to provide young people with the opportunity to better understand the profession and explore the numerous career prospects available.

The academic staff of the Culinary Arts programs first presented the study programs, and attendees were then given a guided tour of the state-of-the-art, fully equipped laboratories. Following this, participants took part in interactive, hands-on culinary and pastry workshops.
