Ms Panagiota Argyrou

Special Teaching Faculty

Ms Panagiota Argyrou was a part time faculty member at Intercollege since February 2019. As of January 2023, Ms Argyrou is a full-time faculty at Intercollege, teaching major subjects Physics, Mathematics and Applied Statistics for all programmes of study.

Panagiota holds an MSc by Research in Physics, during which she worked as a member of the Superconductivity and Magnetism group of the Condensed Matter team at the Department of Physics at the University of Warwick, UK. Her thesis focused on the superconducting properties of non-centrosymmetric superconductors in Niobium-Rhenium series of compounds, with the aid of high definition experimental equipment. During her Master’s studies, Panagiota was employed by the Department of Engineering as a Laboratory Demonstrator/ Supervisor for undergraduate Physics students.

She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Kent, UK, earning a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Physics. Her thesis project explored Colour Perception and Virtual Reality with the use of Oculus Rift equipment, in collaboration with BAE Systems Company. In parallel with her undergraduate studies, Panagiota was an academic peer mentor for undergraduate Physics students.
