Intercollege Adopts Blackboard Ultra as Learning Management System

Starting Spring 2026, Intercollege will use Blackboard Ultra as its learning management system, replacing Moodle. All new courses from Spring 2026 onward will be delivered through Blackboard.
Blackboard Ultra offers a clean, modern interface designed to make sense at first glance, with logical navigation, streamlined workflows and a consistent, accessible experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
For students, course materials, deadlines, and grades are easy to find, with a familiar layout across all modules. For lecturers, routine tasks like posting announcements, reviewing submissions, and tracking engagement are simpler and quicker to manage.
The platform also includes built-in accessibility features through Blackboard Ally, allowing course content to be accessed in multiple formats.
Current and new Spring students, along with faculty, have already received or will receive their login credentials via email and can access Blackboard at learn.unic.ac.cy. All users retain access to Moodle, where materials from previous semesters will remain available for a limited period.
Faculty members seeking further support with the new platform may book one-to-one training sessions with the AI Learning Centre (AILC).
