ERASMUS+ & INTERCOLLEGE
Information for Intercollege Students
Student Mobility for Studies (SMS)
As an Intercollege student, you have the opportunity to study part of your degree in another European country (Student Mobility for Studies or SMS). From your second year of study onwards, you can spend one or two semesters studying at one of the College’s partner institutions. The period abroad will be fully accredited towards your final degree, and no fees will be charged by the host institution during your stay. For the requirements of such mobilities, please click here.
To encourage student mobility, eligible students will receive a monthly ERASMUS+ grant, depending on the host country and length of stay. First-year students can apply for participation in their second year. It’s highly recommended to start researching your opportunities abroad early, as some partner institutions may require a reasonable knowledge of their native language.
ECTS Recognition from Mobilities: Before students go abroad, the Program Coordinator, academic advisor, and Director of Academic Affairs evaluate the syllabus, course description, and learning outcomes of the courses in the learning agreement. They decide on the credit equivalent in our credit system, and the student is credited with these credits upon proof of successful completion of the courses.
Student Mobility for Traineeships (SMP)
Through the Erasmus+ Programme, all students enrolled at Intercollege are eligible to apply in order to undertake a traineeship abroad within a company or organization relevant to their field of study (Student Mobility for Placement – SMP).
This mobility opportunity aims to help students enhance their professional skills, gain practical experience, and broaden their cultural awareness. Students can participate from their first year of studies, and traineeships are recognized by the college where applicable as part of the curriculum.
Students also remain eligible to participate as recent graduates, up to one year after completing their studies — provided that the traineeship is approved and applied for before graduation.
📌 Key Features
- Professional experience in a real work environment
- Minimum duration of 3 months
- Financial support provided by Erasmus+, depending on the host country and duration of stay
- Opportunity to gain international work experience and expand future career prospects
- Traineeship can be academically recognized where this applies (e.g. as part of practical training requirements)
Additionally, during the academic year, students will receive updates on additional short-term mobility opportunities for which they can submit applications. These activities are independent from the internship program and offer students the chance to gain valuable experiences, develop skills, and broaden their horizons in an international setting.
📢 Announcements and available opportunities will be communicated by the Erasmus+ Office, which is also available to guide students through every step of the process.
For more information, students are encouraged to contact the Erasmus+ Office at Intercollege.
