Bachelor of Science in Hospitality (Hotel) Management
Accredited by the Council of Educational Evaluation-Accreditation (S.E.K.A.P.)
Subsided by the Government of Cyprus. According to a catalogue published on the Quality Assurance Agency’s website on 21 July, 2016 Intercollege is the only private College that offers an accredited Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality (Hotel) Management in Limassol.
Upon completion of the 4-year Bachelor programme, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the theoretical principles underpinning the provision of goods and services in the hospitality industry
- Apply management and leadership theory and skills in the management of hospitality operations and human resources
- Demonstrate knowledge of computer applications, management information systems and quantitative methods as they are applied and used in and by the hospitality industry
- Perform essential food and beverage operations and cost control strategies within a full service hospitality venue
- Implement safety and sanitation measures within Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards and assess their importance in a hotel/restaurant environment
- Demonstrate an understanding of the global dynamics impacting upon the hospitality industry
- Recognize the scope and significance of outstanding guest service quality and its impact on establishing and enhancing relationships with guests
- Use effective written and interpersonal communication skills
- Apply knowledge of financial management to hospitality operations
- Recognize legal and ethical considerations affecting food service and lodging organizations
- Show an awareness of the various career opportunities and options within the hospitality industry
- Seek employment at middle and senior level management positions or progress for further studies in related fields

Career Prospects
Holders of the Bachelor of Science degree in this programme may be employed at managerial level in hotel and catering enterprises. They may even choose to establish and run their own hospitality units, restaurants or other hotel industry-related business. Graduates also have the option of pursuing postgraduate qualifications in Cyprus or abroad.
