BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging, University of Hertfordshire, UK

  • Aims: The BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging programme aims to provide students further development demonstrating knowledge, understanding, skills and attributes required from graduate Diagnostic Radiographers.
  • The programme intends to produce professionals in the radiology field who recognise the importance and value of the contributions of all other members of the health care team.
  • As there is increasing scope for practice of radiography and technological advancement associated with medical imaging, the curriculum design shows evidence of integration of theory and clinical applications throughout the programme.
  • The programme encourages students to apply their knowledge to current practice.

 

  • Professional Recognition: Students awarded with BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging from our partner University of Hertfordshire, UK are eligible to apply for professional registration to the Registry of Radiographic Technologists and Radio-therapists , Ministry of Health, Cyprus

 

  • Eligibility to apply for membership of the Society and College of Radiographers, UK and eligibility to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council, UK as a Diagnostic Radiographer.

  • About the course: Students have the opportunity to complete their studies at Bachelor level following the top-up year of the BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging, University of Hertfordshire, UK, a franchised program offered at Intercollege Larnaca
  • Length of study: 1 year (top-up)
  • Mode of study: Full time
  • Exit awards: BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging (360 credits)                          BSc Imaging Science and Health Care (300 credits)
  • Entry requirements:
  • a Pass level in the Higher National Diploma in Radiographic Technology (HND)or equivalent qualifications.
  • Where English is not the first language, applicants must have IELTS Level 6.5 with no less than 6 in any band
  • A health certificate from a registered doctor
  • Safe criminal record from the police department
  • Achievement of additional research methods equivalent to the module 5AHP1028 delivered in the UK equivalent programme, this is a requirement until such time that equivalent education is integrated into the HND.
  • Successful interview with the profession specific admissions team at Intercollege Larnaca
  • A minimum of 1000 clinical hours undertaken during Higher National Diploma

  • About the course: Students have the opportunity to complete their studies at Bachelor level following 2 years top-up of the BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging, University of Hertfordshire, UK, a franchised program offered at Intercollege Larnaca starting from 2018-2019
  • Length of study: 2 years (top-up)
  • Mode of study: Full time
  • Exit awards: BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging (360 credits)                          BSc Imaging Science and Health Care (300 credits)                                         Diploma of Higher Education in Radiation Science and Health                                                     Care (240 credits)
  • Entry requirements:
  • A minimum of 120 credits level 4 from the higher diploma need to be completed in order for the student to be transfer to level 5 of BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging .
  • Where English is not the first language, applicants must have IELTS Level 6.5 with no less than 6 in any band
  • A health certificate from a registered doctor
  • Safe criminal record from the police department

  • A minimum of 500 clinical hours undertaken during Higher National Diploma
