ERASMUS+ & INTERCOLLEGE

Information for Intercollege Students

Student Mobility for Studies (SMS)

As an Intercollege student, you have the opportunity to study part of your degree in another European country (Student Mobility for Studies or SMS). From your second year of study onwards, you can spend one or two semesters studying at one of the College’s partner institutions. The period abroad will be fully accredited towards your final degree, and no fees will be charged by the host institution during your stay. For the requirements of such mobilities, please click here.

To encourage student mobility, eligible students will receive a monthly ERASMUS+ grant, depending on the host country and length of stay. First-year students can apply for participation in their second year. It’s highly recommended to start researching your opportunities abroad early, as some partner institutions may require a reasonable knowledge of their native language.

ECTS Recognition from Mobilities: Before students go abroad, the Program Coordinator, academic advisor, and Director of Academic Affairs evaluate the syllabus, course description, and learning outcomes of the courses in the learning agreement. They decide on the credit equivalent in our credit system, and the student is credited with these credits upon proof of successful completion of the courses.

Student Mobility for Placement (SMP)

Under Erasmus+, all students registered at Intercollege are entitled to placement in an enterprise in their field of study for training or job shadowing (Student Mobility for Placement or SMP). The duration is a minimum of two months for 2-year programmes and a minimum of three months for 4-year programmes, including summers or other holidays. Students can benefit from this opportunity starting from their first year of studies. For the requirements for such mobilities, please click here.

Announcements for such opportunities will be placed in the Erasmus+ Office and/or Student Affairs Office. While students participating in SMP may not be paid directly by the enterprise they work for, they will receive an ERASMUS+ grant, depending on the host country and length of stay.
